  • Write op eds & letters to the editor especially to the Washington Post as our proximity in Arlington also gives us a national platform. Focus the message on the hypocratic oath: Do no harm. You should ot pass a bill that cuts health care. Use human stories on the impact.
  • Get updates from the Center on Budget & Policy Priorities, visit: http://www.cbpp.org

State

  • Get involved in registering voters, getting out the vote, & flipping Virginia.Connect with other folks in other states through phonebanking and also other parts of our state.
  • Weigh in with Senator Howell on the committee on Mediciaid and sign up to participate.
  • Get updates from The Commonwealth Institute on health care and other issues impacting low-income Virginians, visit: http://www.thecommonwealthinstitute.org
  • Get updates on health care issues impacting Virginians, get involved with the Health Care for All Virginians campaign at: http://havcoalition.org.

Local

  • Get involved with Grassroots Alexandria is a non-partisan, issue-focused political action group. The group engages in local conversation and education, long-term solutions, and action.   • Join the Northern Virginia Healthcare Coalition, a coalition that is made up of individuals and organizations in Northern Virginia dedicated to quality affordable healthcare. The main focus is an outreach campaign in support of Medicaid expansion in the Commonwealth.
