Priority Actions

Tuesday, June 25, 7:30 pm: Indivisible People of Color (POC) Working Group Inaugural Call. The Working Group is pleased to announce that we have developed a monthly call specifically for people of color within our movement. This call is not for allies. We love you, we appreciate you and we are happy to have you in our corner; however, this space is solely for people of color. This call is meant to be a safe space for fellow people of color in the Indivisible network, with the shared understanding that each participant agrees to uphold the values of compassion, trust, acceptance, radical candor, assumption of best intentions and the right to name impact. This space will not allow for disrespectful, marginalizing or combative participation. Register

June 11 Democratic Primary

Official election results are available here. Congratulations to Arlington candidates Parisa Dehghani-Tafti for Commonwealth Attorney, Barbara Favola for State Senate, and Alfonso Lopez for House of Delegates.

November 5 General Election

All 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates and all 40 seats in the Virginia Senate are up for election this year. The Republican Party currently holds a 51-49 seat advantage in the House of Delegates and a 21-19 seat advantage in the Senate. We need to flip as many districts as possible to blue to take back the General Assembly not only to pave the way for progressive actions, but because this election will decide who will redraw the legislative districts after the 2020 census.

Over the coming weeks, Indivisible Arlington will make plans to adopt candidates around the state to help with post card writing, phone banking, fundraising, and door knocking (if geographically possible). If you’d like to help research candidates or organize actions once candidates are selected, please contact us at
